LAKE MONTEZUMA PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION

MONTHLY PUBLIC AND BOARD MEETING

Date of Meeting:  2-4-08

Meeting called to order at 5:02 pm.

Board Members Present:  Ken Kasner, Janet Aniol, Sharon Brooks, Steve Sprinz, Richard Trask and Chris Beisecker.

Minutes:  Motion to accept January minutes, seconded and approved.

Treasurers' Report presented.  Motion to accept report made and approved.

Richard Trask reported on the recent effluent developments regarding Indian Lakes development.  Gray water will be mixed with pond water on the golf course and used to water the course.  This is a practice widely used in and around Phoenix.  Another meeting is scheduled for the Ranch House on Tuesday and Richard and Steve will attend and report further details in March.

Need for new sandwich boards for use in our annual membership drive.  A motion was made and seconded to allow Richard Casmier up to $200 to buy the replacements. 

Discussion regarding a logo for LMPOA followed with examples handed out by Yolanda Sprinz.  Action will be delayed while Yolanda checks on prices for colors, etc.

Ken shared with us some topics from his meeting with Chip Davis, park concerns, whether County will match funds, etc.  Verna Shafer will address the next meeting regarding the Garden Club.  A small area transportation study has been requested to aid in planning assistance for rural areas.

Committee reports:

P&Z  No position on Luna Vista's Use Permit.

Community Plan web site is available and up to date for information.

Park Committee:  Insurance may not be adequate because of the events held there and the Christmas display at the Ranch House.  Charis will have more information for the March meeting.

Transportation Committee:  See attached report.

Meeting adjourned at 6:35 pm.
