Chip Davis has scheduled a small meeting with LMPOA to hand over a check representing half of yearly maintenance for Rollins Park. The visit is scheduled for Tuesday June 9, at 2PM.
III. PUBLIC INPUT
Bill Larson has had dialog with Janet and Steve, among others, and is set to take matters into his own hands to get the pedestrian path at the switchbacks actually done. He wants someone else to take the lead on this since he will be leaving town soon. Steve and Dennis Aniol have agreed to provide pictures.
IV. COMMITTEE REPORTS
A. Transportation. Janet reports paving of Stephenson Drive is about to begin. The County has approved a project to acquire rights of way along Bice Road and is underway. Janet will follow up regarding Montezuma Lake Rd Switchbacks and Pedestrian Bridge. Supervisor Davis said the County does not have funds to pursue the Transportation Enhancement Grant. Janet will send follow-up letter asking for reconsideration since this is a reimbursable grant with small costs to the County.
Janet introduced Verde Valley 2010-2020 Recommended Projects. Whoo Hooo.
B. Water. Karin provided a Guide for the prevention of Stormwater Pollution. See her handout. Portions of this may show up on the website and in the quarterly newsletter. She also covered hazardous products and their disposal. She recommended that we are careful in the choice of landscaping products to be used at Rollins Park.
C. Park Developments. Discussion was largely postponed. We need a contract with our next gardener.
D. Community Plan. Discussion Postponed.
E. Planning and Zoning. The Board reviewed the new response to zoning ordinance amendment H9031.
