·         ADA ramp & sidewalk project in Rollins Park - The sidewalk and ADA compliant cutout ramps have been completed and are in use. It's a beautiful job! Kudos to Maggie Holt and Jeannette Estes for working with Yavapai County Public Works engineers for approval of the design and permit and to Bill Merkley for spending many hours interviewing contractors for this project until he found the right fit with Sedona Repair and Remodel located in Lake Montezuma.

·         Golf Cart/Pedestrian Crossings - The striping of these two crosswalks has been tentatively rescheduled for next weekend (August 7/8). Both will be across Montezuma Avenue.

MRM Trails Coalition

• AmeriCorps Member - Bella Donna has been hired for the GPS trail mapper position which was granted to MRM by Yavapai County Vista Projects. Most of the mapping and cataloging of way points will be done in the Coconino National Forest in the northeast quadrant of the Beaver Creek Plan area.
• Montezuma Avenue Path - The next path workday will be Friday, August 6, 7:30 to 9:30 AM. Please meet at Rollins Park if you would like to participate.
• Monthly meeting - The next meeting is Tuesday, August 17, at 9:30 AM at the BC Adult Center.

ADOT

·         I-17, Milepost 311 to MP 297 Southbound – Southbound I-17 will be reduced to one lane in areas where crews are paving to improve the road surface. When paving operations are under way, motorists traveling southbound on I-17 may encounter lane restrictions, reduced speeds, and possible delays starting at the Coconino-Yavapai County line. Additionally, crews are removing the road surface for recycling, and rough road conditions will be in effect 24 hours per day where the road surface has been removed. Work will be performed Monday through Saturday between 3 AM and 7 AM.

• McGuireville TI – As of 8/3 all four interchange ramps were open. Work will be continuing to complete some paving, signage, striping, and median improvements. Many, many thank yous to ADOT, the State Transportation Board, and Fisher Sand & Gravel for the funding, planning, engineering, design, and construction of this much needed project.
• McGuireville Rest Area - As of July 30, five rest areas in Arizona had been reopened. Four more, including the McGuireville Rest Area are still on the list to be reopened this fall.

ADOT Long-Range Transportation Plan - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) requests your assistance in providing your thoughts and ideas about Arizona's Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). ADOT is in the first phase of the LRTP process – GOALS and OBJECTIVES. By completing this survey you can assist them in focusing the state's transportation vision and developing  measurements critical to track success of the LRTP.
