Second LMPOA Response to Rimrock Super Storage ZOA H9031 May 17, 2009
Re: ZMC Amendment HA#: 9031
After further research and discussion, the Lake Montezuma Property Owners Association (LMPOA), which includes members from Rimrock and Lake Montezuma, does not approve this zoning change from residential to C-2. There is no compelling community benefit that would result from this change, and there are potential unwanted long range consequences of C-2 zoning.
The Beaver Creek area has sufficient M-1 zoned acreage available for the construction of added storage units. In the community plan revision which is nearing completion, no further commercial zoning is recommended for this location.
Respectfully, Lake Montezuma Property Owners Association
The P&Z Commission review of this Residential to Commercial Zoning and Setback Change has been moved to June 17, 2009 in Cottonwood.
LMPOA has been reinstated on County mailing lists as of 5/8/2009, per Chip's office.
ZOA Response- Guest Homes as Accessory Dwelling Units, HA# H9038
5/8/2009
Esteemed Commissioners,
Lake Montezuma Property Owners Association (LMPOA) is not in favor of changing the current zoning ordinance. The amendment would change our neighborhoods from single family to multi-family, without notices, hearings, or rezoning. It would change the landscape of lawful zoning, tax law, home ownership and property values; all issues the County would have to address.
Respectfully,
Lake Montezuma Property Owners Association
The P&Z Commission review of H9038 is tentatively scheduled for June 17, 2009 in Cottonwood.
