Sunday 8-22-10
12:00am – Power Pole down on Beaver Vista (near Lakeshore) – Crews there, putting up a new pole. Wednesday 8-18-10
12:15am – Three Sheriff SUV’s and Fire-truck at house in Havens on Aztec. The Sheriff SUV’s were out and about. Friday 6-25-10
12:30am – Couple walking along Tag-a-long – stopped to make sure they were ok – they said they had just run a group of kids/boys off their property – asked if they had called Sheriff – no they hadn’t – advised them to do so – as they knew where the boys lived and I knew there had been previous complaints about the same group and told them so – they said they would the next time.

11:30pm (Sat) - Traffic stop at Beaver Hollow - two Sheriff Vehicles - went smoothly! Sunday 5-23-10
12:10am: Two teenage boys/men walking towards Rimrock just past Bice Rd.(loud and boisterous) - Thought one of them looked a lot like our sexual predator with the wanted flyers out - called 911 - they dispatched an officer - don't know of results?!?
Friday 5-21-10
10:30pm: - Just a little more than what I bargained on being a basic traffic stop at the Beaver Hollow. 2 Sheriff cars doing a traffic stop on a full size Blazer/Bronco pulled in behind us - There were 3 or us there. 1 suspect ran on foot the minute the vehicle stopped with a cop on his tail - the other cop was left with the driver (and another passenger) who would not cooperated so the gun came out until backup arrived - a lot of yelling - for the driver to obey his orders and he (the driver) wouldn't. - Backup arrived (more Sheriffs, DPS and Yavapai Rez cops) - 12 of them all together. The one on foot was caught - all three were apprehended - Kudos to all!

12:40am: I'm on Valley just passed the Golf Course - turned right on the 2nd Yuma (it loops back to Valley) and a young man/boy runs from a house/apt on my right across the street in front of me, thru a vacant lot out towards the golf course - I stopped to see what he's doing and within 30 secs a little dark sports car comes up behind me with his brights on, so I continue on;, when I get to Valley instead of turning left I went right to do the loop again - to see if I might be able to see what the kid that was running was up to - the little dark car turned right, and went out Valley to Montezuma and took another left - I didn't see anything around the loop, and turned left on Valley - noticing that the little dark car had taken a left on Cliffside and now was going be face to face with me - I called the Sheriff at this time - I stopped and let him turn back onto Valley off Cliffside and it slowly went by, pulled into the apts behind me and started to back out - I decided then to (while talking to dispatcher) leave the area - they did not follow any further - told her I was ok - and that they were no longer a threat to me but wondered what they were up to - She had a deputy call me back within 5 minutes - told him I was fine but I couldn't get a real description of either the kid or the car except for it was dark with dark windows (I could not see inside). A deputy car did pass me at Barefoots about 15 minutes later.
I do not know if the kid and car were together, it might have been two separate strange things that happened at the same time.

12:32am: Sheriff SUV going out towards the school - no lights.

12:30am: At Beaver Hollow when two Sheriff SUV's came out of Beaver Creek going toward Cornville - high rate of speed lights on.
2:30am: Going toward the BC school On Beaver Creek Rd, between Red Baron & Joann, man in a denim jacket trying to hitch a ride (I didn't pick this one up) - I came out of Kramer onto Beaver Creek Rd (going west)... he was almost to Kramer - noticed at this time he had something that had a backlight - I'm assuming a cell phone - so I didn't feel so bad about not giving him a ride.

3:00am: Sheriff Vehicle passed me going up Navajo (I was coming down) - Lights on, no siren..

2am: Probably about 8 Sheriff cars/suv's were out and about looking for someone - on the front Mesa, Top O Morning/ Drifting Sands area - never saw anyone.

This was Thanksgiving - The Dream Catcher in front of the Honey Store was vandalized at some point during the night.

This is the latest regarding the Beaver Creek Elementary School Burglary as of Friday from YCSO
2 were arrested yesterday and booked at juvenile hall
2 more were arrested this morning and soon to be booked at juvenile hall
1 more is being cited and released pending court
All property has been recovered; including a brand new truck, although quite a bit of the property was damaged. The ages of the kids involved --- beginning with a 10 year old, the oldest being 14.. All suspects are from the area.
The Rimrock High vandalism is a separate investigation - deputies have leads in the case they are currently working and arrests are expected

2:00am - Not sure on detail's - Car accident at Lake Montezuma and Goldmine-Aztec - Sheriffs and tow truck there when I went by. Looked liked it didn't make the curve??

3:30ish - am -What looked like an accident off Valley Vista - Truck went off road into the Smoke Shop parking area - don't know details - there were two sheriff officers there - the truck looked damaged.

4:00am - Accident on Lake Montezuma Ave. between Cayuga and Maya Way - Truck hit utility pole, wires down in street - power out to a lot of customers - Sheriff and Fire Dept had road shut down both directions (not sure how long this will last) - did not get a full breakdown of injuries (if any) hope everybody is OK.

1:13am - 4 Sheriff car's in front of post office, Traffic stop. The rest of the evening they were out and about going back and forth on Beaver Creek Road... it was a busy night for them!

3:15am - Came into the Golf Course on Beaver Vista - could smell/see smoke - thought it to hot for a woodstove fire but you never know - at 3:30am, I was on Rimrock and could see the flames - quit route to find it and called Sheriff - Good neighbors beat me to it - Rimrock Fire already there - Neighbors awakening other neighbors to water down houses. 3700 block on Sycamore, (pine needles, boat and wood pile) Talked to neighbors later - possibly started with a cigarette butt - smoldered for quite some time before igniting.

4:15am - Yuma and Valley (Apartments past the Ranch House), 3 Sheriff SUV's and the Fire Department - looked like they might be searching the field on that corner. They all were too busy to stop and ask.

11:30pm (actually Thursday) - At Beaver Creek Gas Mart - guy sitting on rock near car wash area - in the dark - starts talking but not to me...cant tell if he has cell phone or ear bud - (which is what the dispatcher asked!) I wasn't gonna ask! Needless to say I called the sheriff...

12:30am: A full size tan passenger van (looks like a conversion camper type) wrecked over the west curb (in the rocks) at Beaver Creek Gas Mart only it was facing the curb??? Checked it out - no one in sight - there were 3 Sheriff Vehicles at Beaver Hollow earlier - I'm assuming they already knew about it as I passed by it at least 4 times (along with other cars - it was a busy night for vehicles being out and about - 4th of July evening) and never saw them with it.
1:45am: guy in a white t-shirt walking up the hill on Dave Wingfield.
Wednesday 6-24-09:
1:00am: On Lake Montezuma going towards Rimrock St.- Slow moving mini van - stopped and talk with woman driver - 2 tall thin (1 blonde) girls missing from the School (Copper Canyon) - thru out the route there were people from the school out searching (lots of slow moving cars with flashlights) - I don't know at this point at 3am if they had any luck finding them... A Sheriff's SUV passed me going in the direction of the golf course while I was at Barefoots.

Technically still the 23rd - 11:22pm: A lone young man walking east on Valley Vista right as I turned from Gone Fishing - wearing all dark clothing - with a skateboard.

11:50pm: 3 boys black hoody sweat jackets (hoods up) walking south on Quail Hollow one had a skateboard
12:10am: ATV came slowly out of a trail at the west end of Valley Vista near the curve for Gone Fishing - went up Gone Fishing - by the time I turned around it was gone.
1:00am: Tall 20ish boy/man walking down the middle of Lake Montezuma Ave from gas station towards the Havens/Golf Course wearing a grey hoody sweat jacket (hood up) - stopped and asked if all was OK... he wouldn't stop - just kept walking...

10:25pm: A couple arguing (screaming& yelling) outside Las Margarita's up by Beaver Hollow, called 911-Sheriff car was there within 8 min.
12:12am: At Golf Course... Had Sheriff's car and SUV stop and ask me what I was up to and how things were going!!!
12:35am: Going north on Beaver Creek Rd... nearing Airport Way - notice fire trucks at the north end of airport, Vehicle coming up behind me fast, so I pull off to the right (thinking it's a emergency vehicle) It wasn't - it was a two tone white and red older Ford pickup with yellow like running lights across the top of the cab - it hits the gas and flies by me doing about 60 - couldn't get plates - I turned up Airport Way - Fire trucks and both Sheriff's seemed to be searching the north end...
1:02am: South on Beaver Creek Rd - 2 sheriff's pull out of Airport Way headed towards The Well - tried to flash my lights and pulled over hoping to tell them about the white and red truck... they must have been on a mission as both were hitting the gas and kept going...

LUV: Every motion sensor light that can be set off is on!
HATE: Blown over garbage cans, and blown over portable basketball hoops - They are portable, Please put them up so they don't blow across the road on windy nights - They are both a major road hazard for all at night!

12:22am long haired younger man (16 to 21) walking east on Top Of Morn - saw same young man walking east on Drifting Sands about 6 minutes later - beanie cap, zippered-hooded black sweat type jacket with a white emblem on the left side.

1:04am: Back Mesa: going East on Redrock to Forest Glen - 2 tone (dodge?) Green on top and bottom, wide silver thru the middle coming out of Forest Service Rd. It stayed stopped so I made the turn onto Forest Glen going north, it followed me pretty closely until I turned onto Levin, it went straight, I turned on Miller, coming to Forest Glen again, it had slowed and turned into Miller, I pulled out (as he did not try to flag me down in any way I was not thrilled about sticking around) left onto Forest Glen again, he stops, goes into reverse backs out of Miller and is now following me again on Forest Glen - I turned rt. onto Nachez, so did he, I turned another rt. onto Twilight, he did not follow, I came out of Twilight now behind him on Nachez to Valancius to Navajo, he kept going on Navajo - I had to turn rt. at Deer Run - Chipmonk Hollow - coming to Beaver Vista - there is a road off Beaver Vista called Javelina Trail - There this truck sits with lights on about 25 yrds up this rd.???? I went to the park and backed up by the garbage can and turned everything on my vehicle off - waited about 10 min - no sign of them following - not sure what was up with this one - made me sweat a little! I couldn't get a tag #.

1:30am: I was pulling out of Thunder Ridge going Left and noticed a vehicle turning around back towards me on Beaver Creek Rd. at about Point of View - It must have been haulin' butt cause it caught up to me and started flashing its dimmers and brights back and forth (knew it was not a cop-as no blue & red where flashing) before I even got to Towers which I turned right on and stopped, it kept going towards the Well. Silver or light colored 4x4 or lifted truck, didn't get a tag but it was cruising pretty fast, and to flash me off the road???
1:40am: I was coming (left) out of Kramer when a dark colored reg size pickup passed by on Beaver Creek Rd. going towards the Gas Mart at a high rate of speed - I caught up to this one and got a plate # 773-YKM (I hit about 65mph trying to catch up) I had to turn (right) off on Red Baron so I didn't see where it went.

1am(ish): Had a semi-moving van either loading or unloading on Rimrock at about 1am... If you need an addy I know the one caddy corner across from it

2:30am: Think I had a little dark colored car trying to figure out what I was doing - driving real slow by me twice (didn't get a license #) out between Joanne and the school. They either gave up or figured it out!!!
Here are some things I have seen in our area and these are spot observations
On work nights male drivers with open containers and this also happens afternoon hours at post office. Have seen approx 25% of cars no seat belts and 20% with kids (small toddlers) not belted in 35% of cars exceeding the speed limit on Beaver Creek road, 45% speed on Sweetwater and Valley Vista; 20% run stop sign at Lookout and Valley Vista in daylight hours 65% of cars run or California rolling stop at stop sign on Sweetwater and Montezuma. Quads and dirt bikes 80% are not street legal according to DPS guide lines and most drive reckless ( racing mufflers on many).
Between 12 midnight and 4:00 am 2 to 4 times a week cars meet on Thunderhead Trail overlook , some for 10 to 20 mins others for extended times (find a lot of broken beer bottles etc. )
Underage smokers in lot by school and lot between Montezuma and Sweetwater at lunch time. Have seen groups of people , 3 to 8 , dressed in black or dark clothes wondering area trying to avoid cars. We also now have what I believe to be forest dwellers, I have seen 3 but have not located any camps as of yet.

1:07am: Man walking south on Beaver Creek Rd. at High Mesa - horizontal striped green and purple shirt - biker style bandana on head - mustache, sandy blonde.
1:25am: Lady walking northeast (towards the school) on Beaver Creek Rd. just past Joanne - Pink jacket with a scarf

2:14am: Turned onto Red Baron from Beaver Creek Rd. and heard a gunshot, continued on my route but called Sherriff's Dept. said they had another call besides mine - I came out by the bar - closing time and cars pulling out -Sheriff's car passed me while I was at Barefoots. Did not talk them as of this e-mail will let you know if I hear anything more.
